Welcome to the Waikato Branch of NZIIA.

The Hamilton/Waikato branch of the NZIIA was established in 1975 and for many years maintained a regular monthly schedule of lectures - most recently under the presidency of now Emeritus Professor Dov Bing of the University of Waikato.

The Branch was fortunate in being able to use the University facilities for its Wednesday meetings. Admission to meetings has been free to everyone and, although attendance has been good, few of those attending have chosen to join up. Thus, sadly, the number of meetings has been reduced, while the Branch has been hit hard by the difficulty of attracting speakers to Hamilton and declining membership. Furthermore, its attempts to hold a meeting in early 2020 were frustrated by the coronavirus and no meetings have been held since.  It is hoped, however, that some sort of revival may be feasible in the current year. Interested new members can still contact the Treasurer and Acting Secretary, David Foreman.

NZIIA membership is open to anyone interested in understanding the importance of global affairs to the political and economic well-being of New Zealand.
