Ms. Keltie Patterson currently serves as Political Counsellor at the High Commission of Canada in Wellington, New Zealand. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing the political affairs portfolio, providing strategic counsel on bilateral relations between Canada and New Zealand, as well as regional engagement across the Pacific.
Ms. Patterson is a career diplomat with Global Affairs Canada, bringing extensive experience in international relations, foreign policy analysis, and multilateral diplomacy. Her assignments have included both headquarters and overseas postings, where she has contributed to advancing Canada’s foreign policy objectives in areas such as democratic governance, regional security, and climate resilience.
She holds an academic background in international relations and is proficient in both of Canada’s official languages. Ms. Patterson is committed to fostering strong, collaborative partnerships that reflect Canada’s values and priorities in the Indo-Pacific region.
The usual rules of public discourse apply. Coffee and tea are available from 7pm. Non-members welcome, with a $5 koha. High school or UCOL students are welcome with free entry.
