Frequently Asked Questions:

Who can attend?
All are welcome to attend. This will be a casual, family friendly event to bring together the Wellington diplomatic community and NZIIA members.

Transport - how can I get there?
Parking is available in nearby streets, but we suggest catching the new electric East/West ferry from Queens Wharf to Days Bay (https://eastbywest.co.nz)

Do I need to bring anything?
We will be having lunch from 12.30pm onward. Sausages and some light refreshments will be provided, however, we encourage diplomatic missions and NZIIA members to bring some national foods to share on the day. A BBQ has been organised by the NZIIA for use on the day.

Anything else?
In addition to food to share, we recommend you bring a picnic blanket, your drink of choice, sun hats and/or sun umbrellas, tennis racquets and swimming attire should you wish to swim at Days Bay.

What activities are planned?
There will be a social tennis tournament on the adjoining 4 grass tennis courts, as well as the option to swim at the beach across the road. In addition, there are short walks available around the back of the park in native forest. Otherwise, socialising with the Wellington diplomatic and NZIIA community.
