Join us for a roundtable discussion with Her Excellency Ms Nur Izzah Wong Mee Choo, High Commissioner of Malaysia to New Zealand, Samoa, the Cook Islands and Niue. In her remarks, High Commissioner Choo will provide an update on current issues in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, as well as the current state of bilateral relations between Malaysia and New Zealand.
Her Excellency Ms Nur Izzah Wong Mee Choo is the High Commissioner of Malaysia to New Zealand, with concurrent accreditations to Samoa, the Cook Islands and Niue.
Ms Nur Izzah Wong Mee Choo joined the Malaysian Public Service in 1996. From 2014 until her appointment as High Commissioner of Malaysia to New Zealand she was the Undersecretary of Inspectorate Division.
She was previously the Principal Assistant Secretary of Department of Multilateral Affairs from 2004 to 2007 and Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Beijing, People’s Republic of China from 2000 to 2004. Ms Choo has also served as Assistant Director of ASEAN from 1997 to 1999.
