NZIIA AGM and Annual Lecture 2026

NZIIA members are warmly invited to attend the national Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs, followed by our annual lecture.
TIMING:

4-5pm, AGM including an address by NZIIA Chair Dr James Kember and Executive Director

6-7pm, Annual lecture, details to be confirmed.

7pm - 8pm, drinks reception.
Free to attend, although contributions towards event costs and ongoing running of NZIIA are welcome. If you are attending both the AGM and Annual Lecture, please register for both options.
There were 11 nominations for three NZIIA Board places up for election this year. The election is currently underway, with voting concluding at 5pm on 25 March. Members will be notified of the election results at the AGM.
Members who wish to propose items of business for the agenda, motions or changes to the NZIIA Constitution (if any), should send these in writing to the Executive Director by 5pm (NZT) on 12 April - email nziia@vuw.ac.nz.
The AGM Agenda will be distributed to members by 21 April 2026.
Corporate and institutional members should specify in writing who their appointed delegate is for the AGM. This information, notice of attendance at the AGM and forms for proxy voting at the AGM can be received by the Executive Director up to 1 hour before the start of the event.
