Ford Hart had a 33-year diplomatic career including assignments to China, the USSR, and Iraq. On the domestic front, he served at the White House, the State Department, and the Pentagon. From 2011-2013, Ford was the U.S. Special Envoy to the Six-Party Talks (North Korea, South Korea, U.S.A., Japan, China, and Russia). From 2013 to 2016, when he retired from the Diplomatic Service, Ford was the U.S. Consul General to Hong Kong and Macau, an ambassadorial-level position. Ford now lives in Wellington.
