High Commission of Pakistan, 182 Onslow Road, Khandallah

The NZIIA Wellington Branch in partnership with the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan  invites interest from NZIIA Wellington members to attend an upcoming roundtable event to discuss the many vistas of Pakistan, the heart of Asia.

Situated at the confluence of South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and China, Pakistan is the fifth most populous country in the world, a leading Islamic and Asian power, and a leader of the Global South. It is the quintessential heart of Asia, and pivotal to the unfolding Asian century.

As the world order undergoes generational shifts, geo-economic centres of gravity shift eastward, and New Zealand reinvigorates its Asian connections, it is time to take a fresh look at Pakistan, its potential and challenges, and scope of the Pakistan-New Zealand relations.

Dress: Business Casual

Transport: Street parking available or via public transport on the number 24 Bus (Via Lambton Quay/Rutherford House) to Mandalay Terrace bus stop, Khandallah
