Roundtable with the Mexican Ambassador - Mexico: Where Opportunity Meets Prosperity

HE Alfredo Pérez Bravo, Ambassador of Mexico and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps

Wednesday, 24 September 2025 5:10pm for 5:30pm - 7:00pm

Wellington

Embassy of Mexico, Level 2/187 Featherston Street, Wellington

The NZIIA Wellington Branch in partnership with the Embassy of Mexico to New Zealand invites members to attend the second roundtable event in our NZIIA Latin America 2025/26 series on “Mexico: Where Opportunity Meets Prosperity” with HE Alfredo Pérez Bravo, Ambassador of Mexico and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.

Mexico is the 12th largest economy in the world, one of the 10 most populous countries and one of the 10 leading food producers. It also leads the way in high-end industrial sectors. While Mexico belongs to North America, it is also a Latin American nation and shares coastlines with the Pacific, Atlantic and Caribbean oceans.

Over the last few three decades, Mexico has transformed the profile of its productive plant, becoming an industrial powerhouse and the ninth largest economy in terms of foreign trade, largely due to its free trade agreements with more than 50 countries. The new configuration of international trade rules poses challenges, but Mexico is prepared with its strategic guide,‘Plan Mexico’.
