The Battle for the International Order: Lessons from Ukraine and beyond
Discussion with Dr Hanna Shelest and Dr Malcolm Jorgensen
Tuesday, 23 June 2026 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Auckland
Decima Glenn - 260-310, Level 3, Sir Owen G Glenn Building, University of Auckland City Campus, 12 Grafton Road, Auckland
This event is organised by the NZIIA Auckland Branch and the Europe Institute, University of Auckland.
As conflict reshapes the global landscape, this discussion explores how the Russian-Ukraine War is redefining power, sovereignty, and the rules that underpin the international system. Bringing together presentations and a Q&A session with two world-class experts, the event examines what the War reveals about deterrence, alliances, and the future of global stability. It also draws wider lessons for the Indo‑Pacific and New Zealand’s place in a changing world.
