Come and join us for an engaging roundtable discussion with Dr Ian Lovering on the place of the United States in the global economy after Donald Trump's return to the White House. Ian will firstly share his analysis of why and how the U.S. is renegotiating its role on the global stage, following which the floor will be open to questions and interactive discussion.
About Dr Ian Lovering:
Ian Lovering is a lecturer in International Relations at Te Herenga-Waka Victoria University of Wellington, joining the faculty in 2023. Before this he taught at King's College London in the UK. Ian completed his PhD in international relations at the University of Sussex in 2021. His research is focused on the international political economy, exploring the ways in which globalisation has been governed and contested.
